This season, one of the most common questions while shopping at Found has been around the topic of blazers. Help! Styling blazers is so overwhelming and I don’t know where to start!

Blazers are not only trendy for fall but are also a wardrobe staple for years to come. Whether you work in an office, are running errands, or grabbing drinks with friends, blazers can work in any setting! For tips and tricks to styling blazers for fall, read below for a few of our favorite ways to incorporate blazers into your wardrobe.

Blazers + Trousers

Trousers and blazers are the perfect pairing. This outfit combination can be styled for both formal and informal occasions. In a business or formal setting, add matching trousers with a tank or silk button-down. Add a cotton tee to a blazer and trouser combination and complete your look by adding your favorite white sneaker.

Blazers + Leggings

If you value comfort, but also want to join in on the fall trends, this combination is for you. There are a couple of things to keep in mind when styling blazers with leggings. Always remember proportions when selecting your pieces. When you add a blazer to leggings, opt for a longer or oversized blazer-ideally one that covers your bum. This will balance the proportions of tighter-fitting pants. Also, try adding a sweater underneath and your favorite boots or sneakers! If you feel uncomfortable in a boxy blazer, experiment by adding a belt to accentuate your waist.

Blazers + Skirts

Blazers can be styled with skirts in numerous styles and silhouettes. From mini to maxi skirts, silk to plaid- a blazer is the perfect addition. We particularly love adding a blazer with a pleated a-line skirt or a silk slip skirt. For a chic and timeless look, experiment with a tonal palette.

Blazers + Dresses

Another great way to style a blazer for fall is to pop one over your dress for a complete look! A blazer will look chic overtop a variety of silhouettes. We love pairing a blazer with a slip dress, an A-line dress, and even a form-fitting dress. When wearing a more structured blazer, silk fabric is a great option to balance the outfit. Cropped blazers and belts are also an option, as they highlight the waistline and add shape.

Blazers + Jeans

Fall’s biggest trend would not be complete without this duo. This is a classic combination! This combo is perfect for an elevated, casual daytime look. We love to wear this combination with a t-shirt and sneakers, but loafers or flats are a great option as well. Add a few pieces of jewelry and some sunglasses for a complete pulled-together look. As always, when putting your look together, keep in mind the proportions of your overall look. When wearing a structured blazer, be sure to pair it with tapered or straight-leg jeans.

Blazers + Joggers

Styling blazers for fall with joggers will be your new favorite look for your weekend errands. You will look pulled together while being incredibly comfortable. When adding a blazer to a jogger, select items that are solid in color and have minimal textures. This will create a more streamlined, elevated look.

Blazers come in various weights, fabrics, colors, and styles. Each style archetype and season will surely find a blazer suited to their style. When styled correctly, your blazer will be the most versatile item in your closet this fall. We know that incorporating a blazer into your fall wardrobe can be challenging, but we are here to help! We encourage you to experiment with the items in your closet, using the tips above. However, if you need additional support, please reach out to a member at Found.
