Over the last 6 months or so, Flourish has been going through a bit of a behind-the-scenes yet not so secret Renaissance. We have gone through a lot of changes, and while we haven’t been quiet about it per se, we haven’t been shouting it from the rooftops either. The biggest change that has taken place is going from being a Pittsburgh-based personal styling business to existing in multiple locations! Therefore, we decided it was long overdue to reintroduce ourselves and give you the lay of the land, especially if you’re new here!
We are personal styling feminists
The first thing you need to know about us is that we are a feminist-forward business. We support all women though utilizing our personal styling expertise to breathe new life into their wardrobes and ultimately, building back self-confidence in who they are and how they are showing up in the world. We know just how many ways in which women become disconnected from who they are, and the devastating lack of support that leaves us feeling hopeless, helpless, and defeated. Our reason for existing, our purpose, is to start to fill in that huge gap (as best we can) so that there is something tangible to hold on to.
Giving language to style
By using styling as our medium, we are able to provide the language behind what makes a wardrobe work, or not work. It doesn’t come down to trends or what our own style is, it is all about you, the client. We get to know you, what makes you tick, what lights your fire, what your goals are, the you that you aspire to be, and translate that into a wardrobe that simply feels like you. It’s like a homecoming, but without the glittery mesh dress and bump it hairdo. Because we know that when you have to spend less time and energy worrying about what your closet is missing, what to wear, and how to wear it, you have so much more time to spend on the things that actually matter to you.
We are in this together
Our approach to wardrobe building and styling is less about telling you what you need and then doing it for you, and more about going through the process with you. It is basically impossible to truly change your life if you are simply an observer. You don’t go to your therapist and expect them to wave their magic wand and poof, everything is resolved, do you? (Wouldn’t that be nice, though?) We wade into the weeds together, show you what isn’t working and why, and teach you how to identify what does work.
Our signature personal styling services
The way in which we serve our clients has been highly refined over our 13 years of existence. Our two signature services, the Sort, Shop, & Style and the Image Intensive were designed with client experience and specific outcomes in mind. While they are both high-touch services, they offer different levels of support to meet you where you’re at in your style journey. We have even honed the process to be available in a fully virtual capacity so that we can connect with clients no matter where they are (and no matter where we are!). All three of our team members live in different locations now (more on this below) and we currently serve most of our clients virtually. We are still available for in-person services either in our respective areas or by traveling to our clients.
Personal styling, personal choice
Making the choice to hire a stylist is incredibly personal. You’re essentially choosing to open yourself up (with all of your hang-ups, insecurities, and uncertainties) to a near total stranger! That is monumental, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The women who choose to work with us value our experience and expertise, and are willing to put full trust in our processes. They have arrived at a place of full readiness to embrace a new level of self-recognition and refine the signature of who they are. That readiness typically comes after being in a place of dissatisfaction for quite some time, going through huge life/physical changes and transitions, entering a new phase of life and wanting to take things to the next level.
So, you have now peeked behind the curtain of Flourish, but who are WE? Flourish is currently a team of three amazing women who each bring their own set of gifts and talents to the table. You can find more on the beginning of Flourish on our website, so let’s meet the team!

Meet Audrey
Audrey is the founder of Flourish, the visionary who put us on the map. She received her certification as an Image Consultant via FIT in the early days of her career, and centers her approach to styling around style as therapy, full of empathy, empowerment, and drive for self-expression. Audrey is a mentor to other stylists who are launching or growing their own styling businesses, and supports her team through ongoing education. She currently lives in Spain and is spearheading our international presence!

Meet Shelly
Shelly is the Lead Stylist and Creative Director. Also certified by FIT in Image Consulting, she utilizes her background in Art History as a way to connect the dots between different style aesthetics and personal style. As a writer, she is the author of the majority of our blog posts (hello, it’s me!), website and newsletter content, and her own substack, Margins of Style. Shelly is in her 6th year as a personal stylist and thrives in exercising her creative energy to support her clients. She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with plans to relocate back to NYC this summer.

Meet Shannon
Shannon is the Assistant Stylist at Flourish. She formerly worked a corporate job at a large tech company before having kids and becoming a stay at home mom. After finding Color Analysis, she rediscovered her own personal style and started a side hustle, personal shopping and styling for others, ultimately leading her to work with Audrey and Shelly at Flourish. She is working on social media as well as taking on her own clients and training on all foundational services. Shannon is from Seattle but currently lives in NW Arkansas.
Let’s show up, together
We feel incredibly fortunate that we all get to bring our passions together to be in service to other women. Personal style is more than just having a closet full of clothes that fit. It’s about feeling in tune with yourself, feeling empowered to show up, unapologetically, as yourself. Getting dressed is something that you do every single day and is something that you should enjoy, not dread. And that is exactly why Flourish exists.
